The eighth batch of energy-saving promotion catalog autonomous vehicles accounted for about 70%

The National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance have jointly announced the energy-saving vehicle promotion catalogue (the eighth batch). More than 100 models of 27 companies were selected, and the total fuel consumption per 100 kilometers of all models was below 7 liters. The number of self-owned brands has reached 70, and continues to occupy the main force.

Among the 27 selected vendors in the eighth batch of catalogs, 20 independent branded car companies including Chery, Changan, Great Wall, Geely, and JAC were selected. The only joint ventures are FAW-Volkswagen, Shanghai Volkswagen, Changan Ford Mazda, Beijing Hyundai and Shanghai. General Motors and other 7 companies, Toyota, Honda, and the French joint venture in China are not selected.

Chery, Great Wall, Changan and other autonomous car companies have at least seven models each selected. It is reported that the finalists will receive energy subsidies of different amounts, while the next batch of promotion catalogs will adjust the gradient coefficients of the fuel consumption tests that are not run-in during the verification of the catalog products.
