Commonly used filtering methods

When the slurry is filtered, there is a driving force to overcome the resistance of the filter cake and the resistance of the filter medium. Therefore, depending on the driving force, the filtering methods can be roughly divided into the following types:
1. Gravity filtration, that is, the filtrate is discharged through the filter medium under its own gravity;
2. Pressure filtration, that is, using a slurry pump or a vacuum compressor to apply pressure to the slurry, forcing the liquid to pass through the filter medium;
3. Vacuum filtration The vacuum suction caused by the vacuum pump is used to suck the filtrate through the filter medium;
4. Centrifugal filtration Use centrifugal force to remove liquid from the slurry;
5. Magnetic and vacuum filtration combined with magnetic force and vacuum suction, the filtrate is forced through the filter medium to be discharged. Mainly used in magnetic products.
