It is suitable for determination of non-water-containing petroleum products (gasoline, jet fuel, diesel oil, fuel oil, etc.) as well as coal, coke, paraffin, garbage, leaves, etc. Determination of the calorific value of a substance. The measurement of the elastic calorific value is the amount of heat generated when a unit weight of the sample is burned under specified conditions when excess oxygen is present in the bomb. This is called the elastic calorific value (in J/g or kJ/kg).
