On August 31, the low-pressure test of the 1.5MW ultra-high altitude fan control cabinet of the united power Nagqu Tibet Autonomous Region was successfully completed.

The Nagqu Project in Tibet is one of the key projects for Tibet Group companies. The project is about 4700 meters above sea level. It is the highest altitude wind farm in the world and poses high technical challenges to the fan design. The United Powered Wind Power Technology Center fully considered the features of ultra-high altitude, low air density, low pressure, high extreme wind speed, strong ultraviolet radiation, many thunderstorms, and low temperature in Nagqu, Tibet, and independently designed a 1.5MW ultra-high altitude fan suitable for the region. . At present, the design and research and development work is basically completed and the equipment is in production.

The wind turbine control system is a key part of the wind turbine and it is the "brain" of the wind turbine operation. It is the guarantee for the normal operation of the wind turbine and its optimal operation. Based on the local high-altitude wind field environment in Nagqu, Tibet, the R&D personnel designed the corresponding low-voltage electrical equipment to solve the problems of capacity, operation characteristics, heat dissipation, and insulation of the control system's electrical equipment. To further ensure the reliability of the equipment, the United Powered Wind Power Technology Center simulated a low-pressure environment with an altitude of 5,000 meters and conducted a series of low-pressure tests on the control cabinet. After rigorous testing, the control cabinet successfully passed the low pressure testing test, indicating that the joint power 1.5MW ultra-high altitude fan master control system is safe and reliable, and can be safely and reliably operated at the Tibet Naqu Ultra-high-altitude wind farm.
