SKF recently announced that it has reached a cooperation agreement with Mazda Motor Corporation to provide sealed piston seals for the Mazda CX-5 automatic transmission.

SKF has always been committed to providing customers with sustainable solutions that fully meet their needs. For this cooperation with Mazda Motors, John Bohenick, head of the sealing solutions business unit of SKF Automotive, said: "In cooperation with Mazda, we will fully support the development of its new transmission and help it achieve optimal performance. Under the agreement, SKF will provide Mazda with seals for mid-size and large-scale SKYACTIV-DRIVE six-speed automatic transmissions. This new sealed piston seal adopts a low-friction design, which helps improve the shift performance of the vehicle.

Currently, the SKF plant in Daegu, South Korea, has begun to deliver sealed piston seals to Mazda.
