The country pushes safety school buses to install GPS navigation and positioning devices

The State Administration of Safety Supervision recently published the key points of work in 2012. The work points pointed out that in-depth road traffic safety improvement will be carried out and long-distance passenger transport, transportation of dangerous chemicals, school buses and other vehicles will be fully installed using satellite GPS navigation and positioning devices.

In terms of intensifying the road traffic safety rectification, the key work points out that it will promote the long-distance passenger transportation, transportation of hazardous chemicals, school buses and other vehicles to fully install and use satellite positioning devices, and accelerate the establishment of a provincial, city, and county level three-level dynamic supervision platform.

At the same time, it is necessary to implement highway safety protection projects and strengthen inspections and management of potential safety hazards in accident-prone road sections. Severely rectify illegal violations such as speeding, overloading, overcrowding, drunk driving, fatigue driving, and non-operating vehicle loading.
